Hawthorne Christian Academy

Physically / Socially

Hawthorne teaches Biblical principles to prepare young people with a  Christian worldview. HCA offers weekly chapel  services, student revivals, missionary speakers, special events and community outreach projects throughout the year.
In addition, Hawthorne uses A Beka Book and BJU Press  curriculum which reinforces Christian values in every class.

Hawthorne develops children by providing physical education courses, safe playground facilities, healthy meals in our cafeteria, and athletics for our 6th to 12th grade students.
HCA participates in volleyball, basketball, golf, and cheerleading.
Hawthorne competes against other Christian schools in the region to teach them the values of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship.
Hawthorne competes in the SC Association of Christian Schools Athletic Conference. Our athletic program has seen tremendous success in recent years with several of our graduates competing in collegiate sports.
Hawthorne begins preparing students academically as  young as infants. By the time our students are in our four year old program, they learn their letters, numbers, phonics, basic reading, and cursive writing.
This emphasis continues through the 12th grade with a goal of preparing students for a successful transition to college. In the last five years we have had 100% of our Seniors accepted into colleges and  universities both public and private.
HCA has caring, qualified faculty that have bachelor degrees in their teaching field. All of our faculty are Christians who are active in their local churches.
